Mixed reality & headsets
As augmented reality (AR) and mixed reality (MR) continue to revolutionize the way we interact with the digital world, we are thrilled to announce that our Studio for AR is taking a giant leap forward. We are actively working to connect our powerful AR and MR creation platform with the newest and most advanced headsets on the market. This breakthrough integration means that the full potential of immersive experiences is now accessible directly through your Web browser.
The Advancements of Hands-Free Interaction and Depth Detection
The latest AR and MR headsets are not just gadgets; they are sophisticated tools that are reshaping industries, enhancing educational experiences, and transforming entertainment. These devices are equipped with cutting-edge features such as hands-free operation, which allows for a more natural and intuitive way to interact with virtual elements. Depth detection technology adds another layer of realism by accurately placing and anchoring digital objects in the real world. This means that virtual furniture can sit perfectly on your actual floor, and educational content can be overlaid seamlessly onto the environment around you.
The importance of these innovations cannot be overstated. With hands-free control, users gain the freedom to use gestures and movements as they would in the real world, eliminating the need for handheld controllers and creating a more immersive experience. Depth detection not only improves the realism of AR but also opens up new possibilities for MR applications, such as training simulations that require precise interaction with virtual objects.
Embracing the Web: Seamless Access and Cross-Platform Compatibility
By connecting our Studio to these headsets through the Web browser, we are making it easier than ever to access and enjoy AR and MR content. There is no need for complicated setups or additional downloads. Users can simply put on their headset, navigate to the Web, and dive into the immersive experiences we offer. This approach ensures cross-platform compatibility, making our AR and MR experiences accessible to a wider audience, regardless of their device of choice.
The integration of our Studio with the newest AR and MR headsets is more than just an upgrade—it's a transformation of the digital experience. From educational and training environments to gaming and e-commerce, the potential applications are limitless. As we continue to innovate and push the boundaries of what's possible, we invite you to join us in this exciting journey. The future of immersive web experiences is here, and it's hands-free, deeply engaging, and more accessible than ever.
Compatible headsets
Here you can find the different headsets compatible with Onirix so far, some examples and also limitations:
Onirix & Meta Quest 3
From the Onirix version v.2.56 our Studio is compatible with the newest Meta Quest 3 in its Web browser. So on the Meta Quest 3 you can visualise 3D models that appear on your website, and even add fully interactive experiences, designed in our Studio, that come to life through this innovative headset.
This is a key tool and functionality to convert the boring 2D websites that we know so far, into websites that can be integrated into our immediate environment. For example, we can turn product shops into experiences that we can live in our homes.
- You have to copy the direct URL from the sharing options. We have included a new Beta menu option to share the experience with your headset.
